The web has changed a lot since 1995, but for some reason forum software has evolved very little. It has been replaced, to an extent, by social networking apps, but the forums that are online haven't changed much. Furthermore, all the major forum software vendors produce pretty much identical work. vBulletin, SMF, phpbb, these are all identical and you don't know what you're using until you look at the footer. We'd like to upgrade forum software a little. Second, it's terribly hard to get a forum going these days. It's a chicken and egg situation. You don't get more users because... you don't have any users. To get more users... you need to have more users. We'd like to make it easier to grow a forum. MUCH easier. And that's what PowerFora will do, power forums on two levels. ETA Summer 2011.
